Entrepreneur Luke Pentith has a passion for gin and started distilling Whitby Gin literally from the utility room of his home almost 2 years ago. Demand for his gin rapidly exceeded all expectations and so the search for suitable premises became a priority. Family friends offered the use of a barn as a temporary measure.Great location, wonderful views, only drawback - no telephone and no internet.
Quickline came to the rescue and Whitby Gin are now enjoying fast, reliable broadband with speeds over 30mbps.
Luke - ‘I don’t know why I waited so long to get in-touch with Quickline. The difference it has made to our business is invaluable in terms of efficiency and communications with our customers. We can now distill our gin at the same time as responding to orders. Production has jumped to over 1000 bottles/week and would not have been possible without decent internet connectivity. We have also recently installed CCTV, humidity and smoke detectors which gives us the ability to monitor the site 24/7, even from home!’
Quickline use a combination of technologies to bring superfast broadband to hard to reach areas or where traditional operators have limited capabilities. This is what we do and have been doing so for over 10 years. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to access superfast broadband no matter how remote.
Hayley Silvester - Head of Business Services for QL said ‘At QL we pride ourselves on our ability to work with individual clients and design bespoke solutions. For Whitby Gin, we installed a pole and a small dish which enabled access to our network. I am delighted that we have been able to help Whitby Gin sustain and grow their business.
Luke - ‘from first contact with Quickline to final installation was seamless and extremely professional. I would recommend any business suffering with either no internet or slow speeds to reach out to Quickline.
