Quickline Supports Green Technology Expansion in Yorkshire
The superfast internet provider is working with Yorkshire Greens at its new plant.
Frozen food producer d'Arta has joined forces with GWE Biogas and farmer co-operative Swaythorpe Growers, which retails its produce under the brand Yorkshire Peas. This collaboration has the aim of becoming one of the UK's greenest food processing facilities.
The factory, which is located in rural East Yorkshire, is entirely fuelled by sustainable renewable energy and is proud to be one of the UK's first carbon neutral factories. After having experienced poor internet quality, the new venture turned to wireless internet service provider Quickline to fulfil its significant connectivity requirements.
Based in Hessle, Quickline has been delivering superfast internet for over ten years and specialises in rural, hard to reach areas. Working together with Yorkshire Greens, Quickline engineered an ultrafast solution that delivers a connection capable of 1Gb, future-proofing the business. This uses state-of-the-art fibre over wireless technology beamed direct from their mast located at Bell Mills in Driffield.
Hayley Silvester, Head of Sales at Quickline, says: “Quickline is dedicated to helping companies to do better business by not having to worry about slow connections, downtime or unreliable security. No matter how remote your premises, we can bring superfast broadband directly to you. We encourage businesses of all shapes and sizes to get in touch.”
Yorkshire Greens has also benefited from the recent rollout of the Government-backed Gigabit Voucher Scheme, which provides grants of up to £3,000 towards the installation cost. Thanks to this support, the company is quickly developing its zero-carbon processing facility powered using anaerobic digestion, making it one of the most pioneering and sustainable businesses in the UK.
Hayley adds: “We’re delighted to help Yorkshire Greens as it establishes itself and our region as a leader in sustainable technologies. We share the same values of quality, integrity and innovation, as well as a commitment to showcasing the North as a technological powerhouse.”
